Tacos Guerrero: Authentic Mexican Breakfast Tacos and More in Austin

Everything was fantastic. We got two breakfast tacos and two carnitas. I asked for menudo but it was unavailable so she offered me a bowl of Sopa de Pescado. I’m not sure that it was part of the day’s offerings but it was out of this world. Large chunks of fish, shrimp and vegetables in a chilli sauce broth. J3sus! Great job :) ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Wow wow wow. This place is truly a gem. I know there are a million taco trucks in Austin, but this one is pretty special. We stopped in and split a few different tacos: chicharron and egg, al pastor, migas, and chorizo/egg/cactus. The chicharron was really tender and went well with the egg. The pastor was crazy good. It was shredded and had a lovely marinade and pineapple flavor. The chorizo was fantastic because it wasn't super greasy. Finally, the migas was super good and came with their homemade refried beans. I'm pretty sure the tortillas were homemade or at least tasted like they were. Their three salsas were really great too. The older lady working the truck is so sweet. She gave us great service and cooked up ridiculously good food. It's like someone's little abuelita made us our meal. :) We will 100% be returning for more. BIG NOTE: The truck is cash only.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 8/23/2025 We stopped by Tacos Guerrero and tried the chorizo & egg taco, potato & egg taco, and the migas taco—all were absolutely delicious! Everything tasted so fresh and homemade, the kind of breakfast tacos that hit the spot and remind you why Texas tacos are the best. What really made the visit special was Yolanda Guerrero, the sweet little old lady running the stand. Her smile melts your heart, and you can tell she puts so much love into her food. She reminded me of my grandma—hardworking, kind, and out here hustling every day. Just a quick note: she only takes cash, so come prepared. But trust me, it’s 100% worth it. Tacos Guerrero is the perfect place to start your Sunday morning . Cash only. Service with prompt efficient and warm. Yolanda was so sweet and welcoming. Tacos were fresh and the perfect size. I had the chorizo and egg taco and it was amazing. Highly recommend stopping by. There is parking and tables to eat and tacos run $4. I will definitely be back.

ORDER HERE! I was overwhelmed by the overrated and overpriced breakfast tacos nearby and wanted to support locals with quality food. I found just that here. Tacos were of good quality, and good portions of ingredients. Affordable and such friendly service!! 10/10 will return

The best Chorizo breakfast tacos. The tortillas are homemade with full of flavor. Hight recommended!!! I added Beans to my breakfast tacos which made them even better.

Great taco place in Austin on the east side. There's a walking trail nearby so you can burn some calories before you gain them with some great homemade tacos.

Delicious tacos from beginning to end. The breakfast tacos were large. The corn tortillas were homemade. We had the breakfast tacos one day—potato and egg and the migas taco (OMFG so good). The next day we returned for lunch. We had the beef fajita (loved), al pastor (very good), and the carnitas (fair). The salsa was an outstanding part of the meal. We’ll be going back for sure.
